Omnipaque 240 is a radioopaque contrast medium supplied as a sterile, pyrogen-free, colorless to pale yellow solution. Each mL contains iodine 240 mg (518 mg iohexol), with 1.21 mg tromethamine and 0.1 mg edetate calcium. It can be administered intra-articularly, intravascularly, orally, rectally, or subarachnoidally by a healthcare professional. Available in 20 mL and 50 mL vials; protect from light.
